9.30 am Sunday June 2nd (or Monday 3rd if weather is bad)
Kings Birthday Weekend. Maximum of two hours cleanup.
Come and join the Petone Beach Clean-Up Crew and Keep Hutt Valley Beautiful clean up a section of a man-made lagoon at
Aotea. We will be meeting at the top of Te Araroa Trail on John Burke Drive opposite Jenny Brash Reserve. Access will be
down a grassy slope or by walking down the Te Araroa Trail and along the verge of State Highway 59. Whatever way you
choose there will be plenty of rubbish for you to pick up. This is likely to be a muddy exercise, and you will most probably
spend a good part of the time on your hands and knees. Please ensure you come prepared with the appropriate clothing
and footwear. We will have rubbish bins and bags, gloves, hiviz vests, grabbers and facemasks if it gets a little too smelly.
Tea, coffee and biscuits over a chat at the end.
